My Mother-In-Law is Tea-rrrific
Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there. I was looking for online for ideas for my MIL for Mother’s Day. She LOVES tea so we bought her some wonderful types of tea leaves and a tea diffuser. There are things like Raspberry Passionfruit and Mint Chocolate Truffle. I know she will enjoy this gift very much. I had made my mom a tea cup card for Mother’s Day already and I rarely make the same card twice, so I wanted to find something different. I looked online for a teapot pattern and I came across this really cute pattern. You can find it here. I knew it would make the perfect card for a tea-riffic Mother.

Simple Saturday
Each week, I am going to be making a very simple, quick card to post for Simple Saturday. I like to get pretty detailed in most of my artwork, so I thought I would challenge myself to create some simple projects, less ink, less embellishing…etc. These are the kinds of cards that would be good to use as projects at my classes because they would be great for all crafting levels. Here is this week’s simple Saturday card:

Jump Rope For Heart
My seven-year-old is going to be involved with Jump Rope For Heart for the first time ever. It brings back memories of when I did this as a kid and that was a LONG time ago. He is very excited about it and very passionate about doing the best he can to raise money and awareness for the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. If you would like to know more about the cause or make a donation, please let me know. I will post pictures of his big day when he does all of his skipping!

SPLENDOR DESIGNER BRADS
I am a sucker for brads! When I saw these in the new catalog it was love at first sight. I am a big fan of the SU! Build-a-brad because I could make them match my project. Well, these brads are a perfect match to the new Splendor paper and the textures and sizes are so great. I will be getting many of these because one set is just not enough love for me.
Contains: 15 brads: 3 large fabric, 3 large epoxy, 3 standard epoxy, 6 standard brads

High School Graduation
Wow…I cannot believe it was already 13 years ago…almost to the day. My kids were digging through some boxes that we have yet to unpack and they found this picture. They did not tell me the found it, however, and I saved it from the playroom floor. It was a little wrinkled and bent and I was a little upset. I figured the best way to protect it and save it for the long run was to scrapbook it, so that is what I did.

Jeanette’s Color Me Monday Challenge
Every Monday, Jeanette Lynton has a color challenge on her blog. She challenges us to put together colors that we might not normally try. To be honest, this is the very first time I have ever done one of her challenges and I have to admit that I had a very hard time with it. I don’t know that I am even happy with the end result, but it will have to do because I am not starting over again. Jeanette made some very creative things with this color palette and they can be seen here. I don’t know how she does it, but it could be because she is probably the single most creative person alive.
Supplies Used:
Sorbet Cardstock (sorbet is the only ink pad out of all 60 that I do not own; YET)
Heartfelt Wonder – olive
A Little Everything (March 2010 SOTM)
