Supplies Used:
Paper: La Belle Vie
Accessories: Assorted Ribbon, Assorted Gems

Directions:
Cut ribbon in 4 1/2" pieces to coordinate with the cardstock.  Cut cardstock to 4 1/2" x 1 1/2".  Cut another coordinating cardstock piece 1" x 1 1/2" (for the flap accent piece).  Score the long piece (front of cardstock facing up) at 1 1/4", 2 1/4", 3 1/2" and 3 3/4".   Fold on the score lines to form the purse.  Round the corners of the short size of the purse and do the same for the flap accent.  Using adhesive, attach the flap accent to the flap as depicted in the picture.  Attached the ribbon to the purse putting adhesive on the ribbon ends.  Place a glue dot on the bottom of each Chocolate Nugget and attach to the bottom of the purse.  Put a glue dot on the inside of each flap to close the purse.  Embellish the front of the flap as desired.

What is better than getting a candy bar for Halloween? Getting a candy bar with a pretty paper wrapper!!! inside of this fun package, is a full-sized Coffee Crisp chocolate bar. This is what we will be giving to our “grown-up” friends on Halloween this year.

Scholastic

I found the Scholastic paper to be very similar to last year’s Typeset paper. Still, it is fun to work with and I will definitely use it for the kids’ school pages. I made this cute little pencil holder with it, for the kids to give to their teacher on the first day of school. I found the pattern for it here.

Creative Claire

Claire is my oldest niece and she is very special to me. She moved with her family to Medicine Hat and I miss her so much.

Being the oldest of four, she rarely has time to herself, and was super excited that she was going to be able to come and stay with us all by herself…no sisters or brothers.

She loves to craft and is so very creative. We wanted to make something special for her new room. This is the first time, since she was less than two, that she would have her own bedroom. when they lived in Saskatoon, she shared a room with both of her sisters! I am very proud of what she came up with and I think it will look super in her bedroom!

I must confess that I didn’t actually do this challenge. my eight year-old son, Will J did it. i was so proud of the job he did, that I thought I would share it with my friends on my blog.

Sweet Little Twins

My cousin just had the most beautiful little twin girls. I wanted to make them something special that they could treasure forever. The problem is, with working full-time, being a mom to three kids and a wife to the fourth, doing Scentsy parties and CTMH classes and Christmas trade shows, I do not have time to sit and make albums like I usually do for new babies in the family.

I decided I would make them DVD mini albums. this idea is totally inspired by an album I received in a swap last year. i don’t know who made it, but she is very talented.

Here is my take:

Another Gift Bag/Box!

I liked the gift bag I made so much, that I decided to do another one. The H2H challenge this week is a color challenge, so I thought I would try to incorporate the colors into my bag. The rules were to use pear, sky blue and colonial white. We could also add a touch of sorbet, if we wanted to. I chose a sorbet ribbon. It turned out pretty cute. I am going to put some homemade candy into it and give it to a friend who has been having a bit of a rough time lately. Hopefully, it will brighten her day.

A Gift Bag for Someone Special!

I had a small gift for a friend that I needed to wrap and I could not locate any wrap that was not for Christmas. I decided to make a gift bag for it and I found this really cute tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers. It turned out to be just what I needed and I am pleased at how the presentation turned out. I also made a miniature version of the bows I was working on yesterday.

Many Marvelous Bows!

I found a tutorial for making paper gift bows and I thought they were so cute. I tweaked the instructions a bit and made some for myself. They turned out great and they are very simple to make. I did not use brads in mine…it was all adhesive. If you are interested in trying some, check out the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers here.

The bows were all made with retired CTMH paper, except the bottom one, which was made with the Miracle Kit. It was a special last May. The paper was really beautiful and I was hoping they would come out with a whole pack of it. They may or may not have obliged me in the new catalog that starts on February 1. (I’m not telling ;)
